Please, no references to yermom's teensy ipod.

the delivery room is waaaaaay to stressful. it will work out best for both of you if you do something more relaxing during the birth. i recommend a round of golf.

just don't be inconsiderate by not having your cell phone handy.

Don't hide behind headphones. Any music is likely to get on her nerves.

My wife had both natural.

Did anybody actually come pin a medal on her? I've always wondered if anybody actually does that.

My take on painful childbirth is that, hey sure, it's natural, but you know what? So is the bubonic plague, and we've managed to eradicate that.

No, but it turns out we aren't typical regarding the birth of our children.

We didn't want to know if they were male or female until birth either. Very few have the nerve or patience for either.

Yup, my sons are great proof.:) They were born alert and curious, and they nursed quickly and well.

If she can go through most of labor in water and moving around, it's much more controllable. Labor will go more quickly, too. First son was born in 6 hours, twins in 1 hour and 55 minutes, and the last one in 1 hour and 23 minutes from the time I woke up. Those internal exercises really help during birth and afterwards, too.

Johann Pachelbel's Canon is peaceful, soothing, baby-birthing music. http://www.helander.se/stefan/pachelbel/

Most of all, all babies are worth whatever it takes to get them here. Congratulations and great joy to all of you!

Highway to Hell is appropriate too.

Why? The anestheologist didn't bother to show up for Slickwife's Epidural since it was Christmas Day. So it was all natural, no drugs.

I pity that mother ****er if Slickwife ever finds him in public, it will be ugly folks.

Have you ever thought about harp music? I have two harpestry CDs. They are so lovely. It sounds like the music you probably would hear in Heaven and afterall, that is where the baby is coming from you know, so she/she would feel right at home. :)
