OK, not really...it's just that somebody was able to pull a completely legal prank on the Senators myspace page due to the dumbness of whatever staffer set it up.

http://mike.newsvine.com/_news/2007/03/26/633799-hacking-john-mccain

Basically, the McCain page was pulling an image off of some dudes server, and the dude was miffed about it. So he changed the image on his own server, causing anyone who visited McCain's myspace page to see this notice:

"Today I announce that I have reversed my position and come out in full support of gay marriage... particularly marriage between two passionate females."

BRILLIANT!

Compated to some of the hot link switcheroo's I've seen, I'd say the Senator got off easy.

What if there is a series of links providing at least 3 degrees of separation?

Sure.

I don't care if people hate me, but it ought to be for something I actually did. Not something they THINK I did.

No. I just recognize how easy and functional the site is.

It actually saves some silly questions from time to time also.

Give it a whirl sometime.

ah. That tubgirl. We called that "The Fountain of Idaho" on bikemag, in honor of a particular moran from that Great State.

Tubgirl. One of many images on the innarwebs that, once seen, can never be unseen.
