tractor.. Tax man said I need to start doing something.

so i thinkning about doing some brush hoggin.
now its just an ideal, but it also has to have a front end loader

but whatkind of tractor? dont know if i want one of those new chineese trators that are popping up.

John Deere seems to be really proud of their equipment.
Ford?
New Holland?

give me your thoughts.
I need one that is tough

doesn't Ford = NewHolland? Call the fine people at Bob Lowe Farm Machinery in Chickasha about a nice Aggco/Allis or Allis Chalmers or whatever they are called today.

For brushhoggin' you should get an old JD 4020. They are tough, easy to work on, but kind of hard to find. I bet there are some here:

i would see if you can't find a good used small JD tractor. we've got a 6000 series with a front end loader. not a bad little guy. do just about any thing.

Hell, if you want cheap, durable, and REAL easy to work on, just go drop a couple of thousand on an old Ford 8N. Dang near every part on that thing can be found in an Atwoods.

Doesnt the Ford 8N have a live PTO. push in the clutch and the PTO keeps on cranking. But I need something a little bigger. Plus i dont want to work on it, i want to drive it.:D

I was thinking a JD 4000 to 6000 series. I mentioned that I might be interested in doing this to the property owner where we lease out building. He may have the hook up for me. That would be a sweat deal

I may do that, as soon as figure out what size and all and figure out what i can afford. does he keep used one to sell or just works on them?

I have 6 Kubotas.
Three of them are 18+ years old and still working everyday.
I dont think there is a better tractor made.
Twice a year or so they offer zero percent financing with 20% down.

Used Only .
He buys em at auction , fixes em up , ala any and every thing they need .
repaints what needs it .
Makes a few bucks and enjoys retirement .
