watching the Tavistock Cup and Eldrick has a 2 footer to make his 6th birdie in a row.

how many have you made in a row? I had 4 about 10 years ago on the backside @ Adams in Bartlesville. I still remember the shots.

I think Pic means on real golf courses - not putt-putt.

AND DAMN IT - I DIDN'T KNOW THIS WAS ON TV. I've been home all day, but have to go in for work in about 1/2 hour!

5. At Cimarron. But the only really hard one was the par three 10th, threst was 3 par 5's and a par 4.

Starting with the 9th.

I don't recall ever doing better than eagle-birdie back-to-back. and that was to start the round. Followed that with a triple. :O

yeah that's tough. how many times have you birdied or even seen anyone birdie #10?

I recall I made a 15 footer on the par 3 12th @ Adams. then snaked in a long one on the next hole par 4. chipped close on the next par 5 and drove near the green with a solid chip on the next par 4.
it was also our 3rd 9. those days are gone.:D

This thread would be much more interesting if any member of the SO had ever shot a hole-in-one.

ha. I played my first tourney at Adams. I was in second grade and I was so nervous I threw up on #3 green.

I think it was like a five hole tourney and I shot about 73. lol. good times.

as far as birdies go, I think 3 is my max.

Is this Tavistock Cup the "my rich golf communitity vs. your rich golf community" tournament?

oh man, I'll never forget how humiliating it was to tee off in front of a crowd in those high school tourneys.

and yeah, the ritchies flew in across the lake in helicopters. serially.

in high school when i worked at the Trails in Norman, we'd play 54 holes in a day summers on Monday employee play day when the course was closed. those were good times.

i'd say 3 of 4 is the best i can do. i don't remember any more than 2 in a row.

i was 3 under after 4 once at Jimmie Austin (after about a year layoff) and once in a junior tournament (that I won)...on the public course in Muskogee--it wasn't too tough that course and to tell the troof i played better the next day at Muskogee CC and shot 79 or something.

now, i stink though.

Isn't that just over the pond? I don't recall it being that difficult...

You got a hole-in-one? Really? When?

on a day when I was playing otherwise terribly.

it was a nice pick-me-up.

But let me tell you, nothing stinks quite so bad as having to save your hole-in-one scorecard that tally's up to an smooth 86.

yes, but from the mens tees it's 190 over the pond. From the wimmins tees it's a shade easier at 165.

from the ladies tees? no.:D

that hole is tough because it's hard to pick the right club. ya know, water everywhere near the green?

KC, we used to play in my buddies father in law's tourney @ Shangri-La every fall. Fri-Sun first 18 were storke/handicap play. then we'd liquor up and play 18 more every day. one rare time I shot par 36 on the front on the Blue course. it was during the liquor extra round naturally.:( :D

I'm guessing a par 4 (ladies tees):

Shot 1 - Worm-burner on hardpan that rolled out about 200 yards.

Shot 2 - Bladed an 8-iron from 100 yards (normal yardage). Hits the cart of the group ahead of you and bounced back on your green, settling in about a foot from the hole.

Shot 3 - Plum-bobs the 1-footer, then with his knees knocking, the ball does a 360 before falling in.

;)
