from a D.O. staff member comes courtesy of John Rhode in todays paper.In an article about the annual coaching carousel in the NCAA,Rhode says to keep two things in mind:
1.If Digger Phelps has any thoughts on the subject,ignore him( this would include ANYTIME he opens his mouth).
2. Larry Brown is ALWAYS availible.
The first statement is utterly brilliant and the second is very accurate.Rhode does ruin the impact of this momentary leap in job performance by admitting the worst kept secret in OU sports,that being that the D.O. staff was completely clueless in their 64 name bracket of candidates to replace Kelvin Sampson .YES we do KNOW the D.O. staff is largely clueless,but thanks for playing.Jeff Capel? No where on the list.Oh well 2outta three ain't bad oris it 2 outta 3000.
