I dropped into the office yesterday to turn in my expense report and see when I was going back to work and I found out I got a raise.

Good clean living is all I can figure.

honestly, the money is pretty insignificant. It's that I've been here 6 months and they gave me a bump in my salary.

They probably just realized that they were supposed to be paying you that in the first place.

I was actually being payed about $400 too little for the area I am in right now for about 6 months. I never checked to see the minimum pay for my grade level (glad somebody did). Overall it only added up te be about a $3-$4 difference each paycheck...

I would take anything. 3% has been the regular raise for about 10 years where I work. They make you think it the greast gift in the world. You know things are rough right now. be glad we can afford to give you anything.

See what happens when you stick with one job for at least half a year?
