Somewhere Dean is cussing about poor taste.

Dean's right about most things, but if he doesn't like Taco Bueno he's more wrong than a railroad spike through the taint. I have no delusions that Bueno is fine Mexican cuisine, but it pwns all other fast food Tex Mex, and is better than a lot of "real" restaurants I've been to.

I've never eaten at a Taco Bueno. No opinion whatsoever. And I'll never formulate an opinion on Taco Bueno because Taco Mayo and Taco Hell have already done more intestinal damage on my body by themselves. I don't need yet another craphole messican joint to marf at.

The only one of those places I can stand is Cabana, and that's because I grew up less than a mile from one and it's where most of our HS hung out after football games.

And I had Greek House for lunch. It was awesomeness - except for the two geeks sitting next to us. One dude was wearing way-too-short Howzit shorts with birkies and a too small t-shirt. He said "think globally, act locally" no less than 50 times in his conversation with the other fag about Algore's speech a couple weeks ago. He was calling himself a "green conservative." What. Actually, considering my options for fast food, my best choice is In n Out. There aren't any Sonics here either.

Taco Bueno has some amazing Tortilla Soup.

I get it without the tortillas though...but is stilll very yummy.

Lots and lots of chicken, and the good kind.

I am one that thinks Bueno slipped from where it once was. Maybe they have gotten better in the past couple of years.

And City Bites uses Miracle Whip, not mayonnaise.

There's no mexican food here, unless I go to Bennigans or TGI Fridays. But I can get most of the ingredients and make it myself if I really want it.

I'm speaking on just a pure restaraunt basis, besides, I'll be in Denver on the 1st.

Fast mexican food is ****. When you're starving it tastes really good. Then after a couple burrito supremes and a 6-pack of tacos you're going "why in the hell did I just eat that? I'm never gonna eat this **** again." Then, a couple months later, there you are getting your fix. Nasty, nasty stuff.

Uh, yeah. Hordes. Brazillions. I was there Tuesday and Wednesday. Thought I was in Juarez.

To deny that Bueno isn't the reader's digest (funny word in this conversation) version of Mexican food is silly. It is fast food. Anywhere that pumps Sour cream out a contraption is fast food. With that said, sometimes unhealthy fast food is what I and many others crave for some sad reason.

WHOA! back up now.....did i see 93 mention Brewery Bar in Denver?....that place has good (hot, for real) chile verde. BB II on Kalamath is where i always go with a buddy when we go to Nuggets games. the Blue Bonnet on Broadway is also pretty good. Benny's is OK and El Taco de Mexico and Taqueria Patzcuaro in the Highlands are pretty friggin good too.

i had the weirdest, most hungover breakfast on planet earth with my buddy Brook after a night of killing a jug of Maker's Mark and a case of beer (we listened to Quadrophenia about 6 times that night) at some joint called Carmongo's in NW Denver....it was dada that meal. it was the 4th of July i think.
