the previous owners of our house left one in the attic if you really want one. It's relatively new and looks pretty ok.

the thing you have to be careful about, is can you buy a stylus to replace the one you've got. my mom has a killer mitsubishi turntable that weighs about 20 pounds (top of line shizz in about 1983)....but you can't get the stylus for it that fits the tonearm. anywhere.

I bought a nice Technics turntable off ebay last year for $25.
There are always lots of good buys on them their.

that's a pretty good deal. i shudder to think about all the vinyl i sold to shops inna day.......a lot of those records you just can't get anymore.

That Technics I bought is a direct drive quartz.
Came with an extra stylus too.

I already posted one that does. My point is that I don't know if there is a direct drive turntable that converts to MP3. That one doesn't say what the drive is at all, and since it's cheaper, I'm betting it's also a belt drive.

Or I can just hook up my 1200's/mixer to my i-mic line and VOILA! mp3's.
