I have been burning audio cd's on my lap top for a long long time! So I know my burner works. When it comes to DVD's though I have a problem. Nero goes through the steps of encoding the video and everything then when it is time to burn it kicks out the cd. No error and the DVD is blank!

Any help or tips anyone can give me would be great!

Thanks

I am not copying any DVD's I am using my own video.

My copy of Nerp is not exactly legal if that means anything.

Well, if it burns CD's, it thinks its legal, so that's not an issue.

So you taking home video or something and trying to make it a DVD?

Since I'm not sure how smart you may or may not be, do you have a DVD burner?

I am trying the burn the hard copies of my Sooner videos to DVD. I promised folks on this board and other places that I would send them copies and I have never got around to doing it and now I have time. I get no errors at all.

What's the size of the project?
What's the capacity of the disc? (I'm guessing 4.7 gb, of which Nero will only use 4.38gb for your project)

also, make sure you have all the latest updates to Nero. It's flaky at times.

I got the updates for Nero and I tried to burn a DVD. It started to burn to the disk then errored out. If I post the error log can anyone tell me what it all means?

Don't post the whole thing. Do I search in it for the word error. There's only a couple of sentences in the log that are worth while.
