I think there are definitely women out there who are attracted to older men. I have a few friends who are married to guys 20 or so years older than them.

I've always thought age was relative though. What works for some couples may not work for others.

My grandma was 20 when she married my grandpa and he was 40. He already had some kids, so my Mom had a half-sister only two years younger than my grandma.

Back when I was in my early 20s, I knew a couple of 40 year olds I would have dated if I had the chance. Thinking that they are now AARP members with kids in college weirds me out now for some reason.

Not me, I plan on saving children for a 22yr old trophy wife. I had a less than pleasant experience with step-parents, and I would really hesitate to put my own children in a similar situation.

I can understand that but it is strictly dependent upon the person. I dated a few older than me (in their mid 40's at the time and I was mid 30's) who had the maturity of a 12 year old and one that was 23 when I was 36 who was a much "older" person than me. I eventually married someone a year younger in 2003 (I was 39, she was 38) I always thought I would have married someone quite a bit younger than myself but I found someone who was the same age mentally.

We only dated a few months (long distance, OKC-Austin) before deciding to get married (January) and I moved to Austin a couple of months before the wedding at the end of June. I went through enough of my friends divorces through the years to know what wasn't "right" and when we met it just felt "right" pretty quickly.

Neither one of us had been married before or had children. So those people do exist out there, although there are fewer of them out there.
