Well, armed robbery of a federally-insured bank is a 20-year minimum sentence in PMITA prison, while I don't think that a 17-year-old having sex with a 15-year-old is a crime in most jurisdictions, so not sure where you're coming from. Most statutory rape statutes have a 2-year age difference provision.

in terms of the bank robbing, i was referring to the "barbi bandits" two, 19 year old females took part on an inside job in robbing a bank of america branch. they were the ones who walked into the bank, handed the teller a note demanding money, laughed while they did it and left with the money. went down to a posh part of atlanta the next day and spent some of the money they stole. their charges were dropped from felony bank robbery/theft whatever to just "theft." it's speculated that they won't see the inside of a jail cell and will get a slap on the wrist. one of their parents had the audacity to say they knew what they were doing wrong as they were commiting the crime.

And I'd be pretty incensed about the bank robbery charges getting dropped. That kinda crap is pretty traumatic for the teller.

i think you can find examples like this in every state........the problem is that all the cases are not heard by one single judge.......nor are they prosecuted by the same district attorney

I see nothing wrong with what the 17 year old did...When I was a Senior in high school I dated a Sophomore (I was 17, she was 15), then I turned 18 about 3 months before she turned 16 - that still never stopped us :D

Reminds me of the Kansas AG who said an underage boy getting oral sex from an underage girl did not have to be reported as "sex abuse", but if you turned the tables it did.
