i need a new home page.........i currently have foxnews.com, but yesterday morning i realized that a news site is probably not the ideal site for my nerves.....i was greeted yesterday morning to an article on 7 soldiers being killed in iraq

i cant even begin to describe how that feels........but basically it sucks

so i need a new home page, suggestions are welcome

No muss, no fuss. Quick loading. No distractions. Half the time I'm opening a browser I'm wanting to search for something, and it's the best search tool, IMO. And, if you really want news, they have a news link that pulls from news sites all over the world.

He specifically requested no news. The index page at Google is exactly what he's looking for.

well i cant bury my head in the sand completely to news.....the problem is that when i see an article like that it pretty much sets the mood for the day

just part of the deal.....i still read the news, i would just prefer a source that doesnt have "7 dead" in big bold letters

Most browsers will allow you to chagne the font size.

Really, my.yahoo.com can be customized to not have that kind of news. So you can hear about GM layoffs or eco-disasters rather than the war stuff. :(
