Sadler and Johnson start up front after pole-sitter Newman broke a motor in practice and has to go to the back. Should be a fun race today.

That is, until one team hits just right on it's setup relegating all the other teams to race for second.

Kind of like what happened at Las Vegas last week. That is, when other drivers weren't spinning out because they're running on tires made of asphalt.

I really hate the Kasey Kahne all-state commercials.

Way to go Reutiman.

I don't think Kasey was very happy with him after that wreck.

Biffle is just as much as fault.

AFR, you're right.

I didn't see Biffle slide up the track and into Reutiman.

Could be a fuel mileage finish here.

I still don't understand why they don't put speedometers in these cars.

A tach is more useful in the grand scheme of things, and a speedometer might not be all that accurate either, given tire changes. Different tires can make a speedometer on a civilian car wrong, and I would assume that problem would be amplified in a stock car.

I understand that a tach is useful, but how much does it get hurt to get caught speeding on pit road? I'm sure they have their reasons for not having a speedometer.

But an in accurate speedometer wouldn't do you any good either. My guess is that they can't get accurate enough speedometer's to make it worth their while.

I just read something saying that because they change their gear ratio all of the time, they would also have to re-calibrate their speedometer each time.

pretty interesting on the restart there. Should be a good finish.

Jimmie is pretty dominant at this point of the season.

after slapping the wall.

yeah, but even before he hit the wall, you could see that the 48 was a much better car.

I'll take another 3rd by Kenseth though. All bets are going to be off next week. First race for the COT at Bristol. Who knows WTF will happen.

But my point was he was going to win or drive the thing into the wall trying. Which he did.

true.

Bristol is cool - I really like the night race later in the season.

Next week will be great. JG went from 18th to 12th in that last 11 lap run. Too bad he got a lap down, it would have been interesting.

they could put a little lightweight GPS on the dash for speed with no problem. I bet they do that before too long.
