ANy PS2 games I must have?

I'm thinking about giving you fine people of the SO a break but I need more than the 3 games on play station to occupy my time. I have Big Red 1 part 2 or whatever, NCAA 06 and Red Dead Revolver.

What games do I need?

I don't play video games, but that commercial for God of War 2 looks like it's pretty good.

Well I play an XBOX, but these games are on both I think:

GTA - San Andreas
EA Sports NCAA Football - any year (really)
Fight Night

In college I used to love to play Twisted Metal on PS1.

Yup, the Corvette, the Hummer, the motorcycle, and the Ice Cream Truck were all good, but the 'vette was my favorite too. There's just no substitute for speed.

God of War is AWESOME! Need For Speed: Most Wanted is good. Bully isnt bad, though its a LOT like all the GTA games. Ive always loved any of the Metal Gear Solid games, as well as the Devil May Cry games. Any of those will give you plenty of time to quit bothering everyone.

Bully, especially, is pretty fun. You get to beat the snot out of other kids, make out with girls, pick locks, skip class, vandalize, and otherwise just act like the jerk you never got to be in HS.

God of War 2 is supposed to be the shiz


but I don't own a ps2, I made sure my laptop was up to snuff enough to play games (CC3 has some nice graphical upgrades)

If you don't buy God of War 2 in the next 24 hours than there is no hope for you. Easily the best game I've ever seen or played on the PS2. The sheer scale of the game is overwhelming. For a game that is more fun than it has any right to be than pick up Guitar Hero 2. I've had it since the day it came out and it is still bad ***.

Other games to consider:

Resident Evil 4
Shadows of the Colossus
God of War 1 (not as good as GoW2, but definitely makes you appreciate 2 much more)
Guitar Hero 1 (The calibur of song is better than 2, but not the gameplay)

The Grand Theft Auto series. San Andreas is the best, but Vice City is a lot of fun, especially if you grew up in the 80's. I'm sure you can get all three (SA, VC, and III) in a package deal.

I have Twisted Metal for the PS2 and it blows. I don't know why, but its not near as good as the PS1 version... Strange.... Maybe its the fact that I'm not stoned out of my mind any more.

If, Rainbow Six Las Vegas is out for ps2...get it. That is one bad *** FPS game, if you like FPS.

Agreed on the Guitar Hero 2...I picked it up a few weeks ago for the 360 thinking I would prolly get a few good hours of fun, but it would also be something a group could play with kids and stuff....but alas, you have to tear the guitar from my hands to get your turn.

MLB 07 "The Show" - I hadn't bought a baseball game in years until I picked this game up....now, I can't put it down. There is an awesome "career mode" where you can create yourself, choose a position and try to make one of the MLB rosters. You get to hit, field, and run the bases with your player. Do well in Spring training and you may get a contract offer. I am yet to field an offer, but then again hitting .222 during the Spring will not get it done. :( :D
