It's now the bottom of the third inning and once again the Sooners are losing to MSU.

MSU 1
OU 0

OU has runners on 1st and 2nd with one out and Aaron Reza at the plate with a 1-2 count.

Reza gets a base hit for an RBI and ties the score at 1.

Sooners go up one on a infield play that wound up with Baker out at first but Davis scores.

MSU up to bat now in the 4th and they get a lead off double and then an error by the 3rd baseman allows the runner to score.

On to the bottom of the 4th now, score still knotted at two each.

OU has a runner on 1st with no outs.

Sooners score on an error by the catcher after Moss triples to left center field. Hughes draws a walk and moves to 2nd on the error as well. Williams then singles to bring in Hughes and OU takes a two run lead.

Heath Taylor retires the side three up three down taking the game into the 7th inning stretch.

OU's top of the order up to bat in the bottom of the 7th.

Baker with his second hit of the game moves Reza to third and OU has runners on the corners with two outs and Shepherd up at bat.

Full count to Shepherd now after Baker steals second to give the Sooners two runners in scoring position.

Heath Taylor retires the side three up three down again. OU taking control has one more chance to pad the lead before MSU is up for what is hopefully their final at bat.

Williamson singles to left field and Hughes successfully bunts him into scoring position. Joseph Williams at the plate now with one out and runner at second.

Williams doubled down the left field line to score Willaimson.

Joe Dunigan doubled up the left field line to score Gosse and Davis. Reza popped out to the ss to end the inning.

The Sooners get 3 insurance runs and move into the top of the 9th ahead now 7-2.

Chris Henry comes to the mound for the Sooners to close out the game for Taylor who had another strong showing. Taylor allowed one earned run on three hits in 8 full innings pitched.

Henry allows a one out single and Golloway puts Matt Lovelady in. He promptly gives up a single and now there are runners on the corners for MSU.

Lovelady hits the next batter and the bases are now loaded with only one out.

Coach yanks Lovelady (who needs a ton of work before he should ever pitch again) and puts Jimmy Rollins on the mound.

Rollins gets the batter to strike out swinging and now there are two outs but the bases are still loaded.

That is pretty funny!

My nephew thought it would be a good idea to make a sign. I did not know he was going to make a 5 foot banner! Great game yesterday...we had an awesome time as usual!:pop:

OK, OU up 4-0 in the Bottom 5th. OU has only one hit this game, a 3-run HR from Joe Dunigan in the 1st. The first was a 4-run inning for OU. Also, the game can be heard on 1520am in OKC.

OU is now up 5-0 in the top 6th after a Corey Williamson HR.

Top 8th now. Still 5-0. Joseph Hughes went 7 innings giving up 0 runs and getting 9 Ks and 0 walks.

This was a good win for the Sooners. One thing MSU made sure of was that they would not allow Aaron Baker's 22-game hitting streak to continue :( They walked him twice (no other batter for OU walked all day)
