Although it went against everything I learned in school, I touched this thing up after finally getting tired of looking at his face.

Why'd you redo it? And how long did it sit before you decided to?

pfffft, like I have standards.

you could spit phlegm on a canvas and call it art and I wouldn't know the difference.

Besides, I like the homo art..like Monet. :)

Well done, there Picasso!

The lightening of the face gives it greater contrast, depth and character, while the eyes are more natural and less eerie looking. There is a spot light or a natural light on him now and I feel more comfortable with that.

Before, he was looking at the future or something we can’t see and he didn’t seem at all happy about it. It was a bit unsettling with the background of a red outline and blocks of turquoise blue, green and yellow. Sorta confrontational.

Now, it is more comfortable for the viewer in that we get to see more of him, including the more obvious face paint. He still isn’t happy and maybe he shouldn’t be. The background makes more sense, since we are looking at him instead of the focus being on him looking at something else over there behind our right shoulder.

I’m gonna steal one of Howzit’s lines, I came up with this all by myself and pat myself on the back.

And, I not beyond going the whole butt kissing route. I so want to buy one of your paintings some day before you get so rich and famous and I develop morals about artists who play golf.

would you people please stop calling him an "artist"

he prefers "fingerpainter".

or his Native American name "Skihiloftstik" which means " he who throws wedge"

not to worry Chuck. I play once a week at the most which makes me a casual wannabe golfer.

Hairy here plays an unlimited amount. along with much practice and lessoning and changing of high dollar equipment.
which makes him a chronic wannabe.

Thanks for the critique though. That was interesting.

do not ever question George Gervin. and I've only been dunked on once, that was in 10th grade.

Pic.. I have a good friend who went to Pratt. Is it's reputation as good as she tells me? (i.e... pretty much world class).
