Well, if you're looking for me to do it, I stopped doing that to his threads long ago. Someone else picked up the torch, apparently.

Congrats on the house!

Some very nice flower pots perhaps with caladiums on the porch steps. Two, old fashioned outdoors rocking chairs for the porch.

For the areas next to the steps, runoff water from rainstorms would be an issue, so, .... perhaps a stone edging along the sidewalk like..

http://www.rd.com/images/tfhimport/2004/20040401_GARDEN_EDGING_page002img003.jpg

Then, I'd put a nice ground cover in the middle, leaving about a one foot area along the drive, leading up to the steps on both sides for annual flowers (without a tree to provide shade, perhaps begonias, planted in a fairly compact way.

It's a quaint house.. and the two adirondacks may be too much for the porch area.

As for "fagging" up the thread, when our erstwhile hero brings back some nubile, naive young innocent for some groping and post coital peeing, she is guaranteed to drop panties when she sees the well manicured and tended yard.

TD, PQ told me that a lot of people are putting their homes up for sale in your new neighborhood because of the development of the land behind it. Something about building new lower-income quad-plexes. Apparently, the folks in your neighborhood are very upset about it and went to some city council meeting to voice their opinions but it didn't do any good. The wife of a guy in our office went.

If this is new to you and it upsets you - PQ said it. Not me.

No, you're seeing it right. In this area of Ardmore many of the homes have shared driveways and sometimes garages.

The driveway is mine but the garage is shared. There is a wall separating the two sides so I basically just have a one car garage
