View Full Version : Wednesday's Scrimmage Info

The following information will apply to open scrimmages being held this
Wednesday and Saturday, March 31st:

* Due to current construction on West & North areas of the stadium, fans
may only enter on East side of stadium through gates 7 or 12 only

* No admission charge

* Gates will open approx. 1 hr. prior to scrimmage. (2:45 PM on 14th &
10 AM on 31st )

* Seating will be available on the lower east stands only.

* Public restrooms will only be available on the east side.

* Concessions will be available at East Side concession stands for
scrimmage on 31st only

* Switzer Center will be open to public approx. 1 hour prior to
scrimmage and will close approx. 30 minutes after the scrimmage (Same
time as gates open to stadium)

* Prohibited items are same as home games in addition to NO cameras
permitted during scrimmages.

Except for items pertaining to medical conditions or child care, all
bags, backpacks, video cameras, large cases for binoculars or other
items, fanny packs and large purses (larger than 10" by 10") are
prohibited and banned. Only those items required for medical or family
needs plus empty, clear personal-sized containers suitable for drinking
water will be permitted. All carried items and entrants are subject to
search. Prohibited items must be returned to the owner's car or
discarded. Any unlawful items are subject to confiscation, and the
person in possession of such items is subject to arrest.

Prohibited items include:

* Alcoholic beverages

* Baby seats

* Baby strollers

* Backpacks, fanny packs, large purses (larger than 10" by 10")

* Balloons

* Banners, Signs

* Beach Balls

* Cameras of any kind unless a credentialed member of the media

* Coolers or containers

* Explosives

* Folding chairs or stools

* Food and beverages

* Ice chest

* Laser pointers

* Pets (with the exception of service animals used by disabled
guests)

* Personal heaters

* Umbrellas are NOT allowed inside the stadium

* Noisemakers of any type (i.e. air horn, plastic horn, whistles,
etc.)

* Video cameras


Parking Notice
* March 14th Scrimmage - Patrons are encouraged to park east of stadium
in Duck Pond lot or south of campus in multi-purpose lot directly south
of the practice fields on Lindsey. With classes still in session during
this scrimmage all other parking lots including Asp Parking Facility are
expected to be full. These areas will be monitored and parking
restrictions enforced with tickets issued to those without appropriate
permits.

* March 31st Scrimmage - All campus parking lots around the stadium will
be available with no parking restrictions.

I was thinking the same thing.

I didn't see "assault rifles" on the list.

I dont think I'll go, it just sounds too restrictive.

oh, and the 1400 mile drive plays into the process somewhat.

nah. by 4:00 most everyone has skedaddled... can probably park in the lot across from the stadium on Jenkins without any problems...

Good thing too because the scope on mine is Sweet...I'll be able to take the ball out if the other team tries to intercept a pass...They don't stand a chance!

You guy censor explosives in the stadium? That seems a bit draconian. I know Oklahoma is mostly conservative but geeze, no explosives.

I have a pretty full day planned for that day.

May we bring any of the following:

* deck of cards
* dominoes
* fishing pole
* tackle box and contents
* just caught stringer of fish
* nose hair trimmer
* beach towel
* a lampshade
* dental floss and toothbrush
* a pillow
* flyswatter
* can of WD-40
