So I was driving across Western Nebraska today, and I met a Air Force Convoy that included several armored vehicles escorting a semi. The only military stuff out here is ICBM's. My question is did I meet a nuke being moved?

That's classified...if they told you, they would have to kill you.

No comment...cause I'm just a measly 2 Lt, so what would I know?

When I was a Cold Warrior, nukes usually moved by air. When they did have to move by surface, it was in ordinary unmarked semi's escorted by unmarked Suburbans with blacked-out windows and guys inside with lots of guns.

just saying.

Yeah. Nothing says "nothing to see here" like a half-dozen unmarked, heavily tinted Suburbans in a caravan.
:D

It wasn't that bad. Believe it or not, it was usually one suburban about a quarter mile in front, and one other running about a quarter mile behind.

They always carried space aliens or UFOs in the unmarked trailers on the X-FILES.

More likely it was nuke material. But as OUDoc says...

and the suburbans had politically aligned bumper stickers, depending on location. Some examples from the leading suburban:

My kid is an honor student at the Wernher Von Braun Institute. Home of the Fighting Oppenheimers.
Earth First! Log other planets later.
#3 (with a halo)

And on the trailing suburban:

Give Peace a Chance
(rainbow triangle)
Save the Whales
Meat kills

Okay, nuke weapons, Suburbans...

Nuke waste, armored cars...

That nuke waste is actually more potentially dangerous in many ways. Think of it this way. Even if Achmed could steal or buy a bomb, he probably could'nt detonate it with all the positive control interlocks. Not to mention development of a robust and reliable delivery system.

OTOH, Achmed could easily build a IED which could blow to smithereens a big ol' chunk of "spent" but still very radioactive fuel and the ensuing spewage of radioactive matter over a couple mile radius could be disastrous if done in a heavily populated or politically critical area. That is what is commonly known as a "dirty bomb."

Just yesterday, I was reading about all the abandoned nuke power sites in and around the old USSR. A lot of that nuke crap is there for the picking -- and potential "dirty bomb" makers have been detected in the vicinities. Particulalrly in the Muslim former Soviet states of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

Sweet dreams.

That's pretty much what I saw. I think it would be a challenge to move them by air in Western Nebraska at least at first.

If the aliens are smart enough for interplanetary travel, they are too smart to be near Kimball, Nebraska.

This reminds me of a funny "The Far Side" cartoon where this truck is hauling a huge ICBM. On the bumper of the truck is a sticker that reads "Our Lights Are On For Safety."

apartently you haven't seen the people who have been abducted. the aliens like to get "the good ole boys", true Americans, to probe.
