With most of the precincts reporting, we have a clear leader and a very tight field for the other position.

Unlike real elections, we're counting the votes as they come in. However, like real elections, no results until after the polls close this Friday, UNLESS all the shareholders have voted by then.

Most of the SO "regulars" have voted. The folks who haven't are generally people who don't post much, or confine their activity to the FB board.

Anyhoo, the winning two names will be posted Friday afternoon at 6pm. If you are a shareholder and haven't voted by then, you waived your right to vote.

funny. i was trying to be polite by privately and nicely asking how much he contributed. not to be competitive, but because i think it's a cool thing to donate to. but i'm glad to see how maturely this is all being discussed now.

and by the way, eventually everybody's going to know who gave how many chances anyway because we'll be reading off the donations (in terms of $20 chances) at the tailgate drawing in the fall. So it's pretty much a pointless argument on both sides.

Eggszackery. In fact, the lovely and talented PG helped us administer the drawing last year. The first public step of the drawing is placing leetle gold ball dealios representing each shareholder's total contribution in $20.00 increments into the hat.

Put another way, for every $20.00 you gave, you got a gold ball with your name on it. (E.g. $40.00 equalled two balls in the hat.) In fact, PG held up folks' balls for all to see. Some people had one ball, some had more than one ball. After that was done, we proceeded with the drawing.

If I can borrow a bingo "blower," we might put folks names on ping-pong balls this year to add drama!

Note: I realize there is a great deal in this post to make "hee-hee" over. Please try to restrain yourselves.:O
