succs!

Jeez, the guys are pathetic.

This morning - it was 100% chance of rain tonight and tomorrow

Tonight, they have it at 100% tonight and 40% tomorrow.

Probably won't rain at all.

Radar reflects off dust, too.

have you not read mdklatt's rant on people that diss on forecasters?

If it rained anywhere that the forecast was broadcast then the forecast was correct. If it said there was a 99% chance of rain and it didn't, they were still right as there was a 1% chance of no rain.

Wow, a whopping .12 inches of rain.

Two days, all I heard was "100% chance of rain, heavy at times. "

It's freaking March and the ground is already cracking back open.

p.s. The New Orleans NWS was not this bad.

here's something you need to get used too

parts of the metroplex can get a full inch or more while other parts can get ZERO

I don't have and issues with the some here, none there stuff.

Going from 100% to 40% within 12 hours is insane. How could they be THAT far off in such a short period.

100% means 100% of the coverage area, not 100% chance its going to rain

the coverage area here is pretty big.....sometimes storms fall apart or other scientific things happen

There is some kind of shield over Collin county. I can't tell you the # of times I've seen a massive storm line headed our way and then it moves out of Denton county and falls apart completely. Very odd.

But they went from 100% of the coverage area 40% of the coverage area in just a few hours.

George Bush went from 100% right on WMD's in Iraq down to 40%, and the country wants him clubbed like a baby seal.

Just remember folks: METEOROLOGY IS A HIGHLY INEXACT SCIENCE!!!

You're dealing with FOUR-DIMENSIONAL mathmatics (and God) here.

Yes, but jeez, the tropical prediction packages for GFS and the other models
are SMOKING the domestic "day to day" models for the North Texas area.

NCEP has two super-sized IBM P-series 575 supercomputers to do the math
for them, they could at least get it a little closer to being right and being consistant with their forcasting.

Pffft! Get it right. It's the Plano bubble and it is still working - too well.
No rain!
I've heard that all of the concrete around here changes the air temperature and causes the forecast to be less than accurate.

And Lid, I am so disappointed in your choice. Your standards are way lower than I thought.

The monkeys continue to smoke their hemp and make weather forecasts:

Overnight: A 20 percent chance of rain. Patchy fog after 5am. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 58. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Tuesday: A chance of rain, with thunderstorms also possible after 1pm. Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a high near 71. Calm wind becoming south southeast between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Tuesday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. South southeast wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Really?

410 AM forecast Sunday morning had 100% chance Sunday night and 70% for Monday.

1119 AM update did not change POPs.

334 PM Sunday updated package had 100% Sunday night and 50% Monday.

911 PM update did not change POPs.

400 AM Monday forecast package had 40% for Monday.

This is the straight zone forecast for Dallas county.

They had 100%, 100% at one point, Sunday I believe. I'll have to go check.
