I drove down to Norman from Joplin, MO last night to spend some time with family.

First thing: Is all of Oklahoma on fire? All the way from Miami to OKC it smelled like someone was having a huge bonfire.

Second thing: At approx. 5:55 a.m. there was the BIGGEST stroke of lightning and a GARGANTUAN clap of thunder. No warning rumbles, just right into the biggest boom I've ever heard. It was so huge that cars for about 15 city blocks (or so it sounded like) had their alarms triggered. I've never, ever seen that happen anywhere. It was the weirdest thing, jolted out of your sleep and then about 50 or 60 car alarms going off all at once.

Anyone??

I seriously think it's my fault. For years, every time I come home from school the weather goes from great to bad and 90% of the time it storms.

It's raining here.

I see no fire.

Poteau, OK (AP)
Volumous amouts of methane gas due to Olevet's consumption of Natty are blanketing Eastern Oklahoma. When exposed to a spark this may cause savage wildfires.
