ok so this morning i go to sonic to get breakfast as we usually do on sunday mornings

i get the sonic sunrise etc and take it home, drink it thru the straw.....finish it and leave it on the counter

wife goes to pour out the ice and lime, etc.......and at the bottom of the cup is a full grown mosquito

can you get west nile from drinking something with a mosquito floating in it?

JK, you should be fine. As far as I know, it is a bloodbourne transmission.

i called the CDC, and they said its transmitted thru the actual bite itself

i was just worried that the drink could absorb any mosquito bits

and no, its not too early for mosquitos.....at least not here, they are everywhere

jk--the other thing to remember is there are very few things that can be ingested into the acid environment of your stomach and survive. mosquitoes and WNV are not two of them.

sounds like you aren't at risk for scurvy either. Hope this helps ease your mind.
