Congratulations, Lady Chieftains!

Mustang had no answer for Sapulpa's 6'3" Alyssia Brewer. This makes their fourth state title.

Yes congratulations to Sapulpa.

Do the Chieftans actually come from the city of Sapulpa or are they from the Tulsa area and end up transferring to and playing at Sapulpa to play on the basketball team? Or is it great coaching for the girls that has brought all the success?

MS,

Their leading scorer, Brewer, is a Broken Arrow transfer. The rest of the players are all from Sapulpa. The coach has been at Jenks and TU before coming to Sapulpa.

This is their fourth state title, and one of the few (maybe only) bright spots around town in regard to sports.

They've always had good teams, and are competitive year end and year out. Champs '79, '80, '98, '07.
