I witnessed an accident like that. In real life. It was a woman in a Chrysler LeBaron. I was like her head came off and exploded all at once. And I saw it.

It was like I was watching a movie or something. It just didn't seem real.

a truck driver friend of mine told me he once got rear ended by a small car (beatle I think it was).


He went a good 10 miles before someone finally flagged him down, he didn't even feel the hit and had dragged the car with him the whole time

80,000 pounds versus 2,000 pounds...I wouldn't doubt it.

80,000 / 18 wheels = 4444 pounds per wheel.

So a semi has more weight on one of its 18 wheels than most cars weigh total.

Man, I hope I never get involved in a fatality wreck. I have met too many drivers who have and have seen it with my own eyes too many times. Even if it's not my fault, it will be something to live with. Train engineers have it worst. They're almost guaranteed to run over someone during their careers.

i too have had to evade a body while on a bike, but this was a racoon, not a human

Coming Home from the Iowa st game last year we had to dodge 3 Bodies as they crashed their bikes all around us . :eek:

My guess would be he fell asleep at the wheel, drifted, then plowed into the pulled-over truck. I don't see any tire marks, doesn't look like he ever hit the brakes.

That, or it was some dumba** trying to push their Vette to see just how fast they could get it and ended up pushing a little too hard and lost it...
