Pacific-10 Conference. Coordinator of Football Officiating. The Pacific-10 Conference is seeking qualified candidates for the position of coordinator of football officiating. Job responsibilities include: Manage all aspects of the football officiating program; Identify, recruit, train and lead officials. Review their performances on an ongoing basis. Develop and provide educational materials, including video training aids; Assign officials to Conference and non-Conference games (including postseason contests as required); Hire technical assistants to review the tape of each game to which Conference officials are assigned. Oversee preparation of game reports by the TAs; Communicate on a weekly basis with the head football coaches concerning the officiating of each of the prior week’s games; Prepare comprehensive evaluations of officials for the Athletics Directors Administrative Committee; Observe and evaluate Conference officials at games to which they are assigned; Coordinate the preseason officials' clinic and development of a training program; Maintain good relations with representatives of the Conference’s members; Oversee financial arrangements for officials and manage the program’s budget; Prepare information on officials’ transportation arrangements for institutions; Handle correspondence related to officiating programs; Maintain officials' personnel records; Communicate on behalf of Conference with coordinators of other conferences and National Coordinator of Officiating; Interpret rules and rule changes for Conference member institutions, officials and media; Provide oversight of the Conference’s instant replay program and the director of that program. Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree; Experience as a major college football official; Experience as an administrator of an officiating program preferred.
