It's mostly ADM's fault. They pretty much created the HFCS market by themselves. They are also mostly at fault for the coming ethanol debacle.

Actually watched a show on the Discovery Channel about that recently. This guy who weighed like 1,200 pounds married a lady who was of a relatively normal weight. She tried a couple times to bring him healthy food, but he kept telling her if she didn't bring him Ruffles and Twinkies he would stop loving her.
