Thanks for the well wishes. Things went a helluva lot worse than I imagined they would. They were checking out my arteries and found that my left main artery is 80% blocked. This is an artery that can't be stented, so I'm going in for open heart surgery Thursday morning. I'm honestly shocked. Having a heart attack and bypass surgery aren't things I expected to accomplish before my 36th birthday. It also amazes me that this artery is blocked since it was fine less than a year ago and I quit smoking, lost 30 pounds and keep my cholesterol around 110. My body is trying very hard to bury me, but I'm gonna fight it. There are lots of people out there in more need of prayers than me, but if you have a little extra time, please say one for me or sacrifice a chicken or whatever you do for some luck. I could use some. I think all things considered, I'm pretty damn optimistic how this will turn out and in pretty good spirits.

I am approaching the 2nd anniversary of my quad bypass, I was 47. Keep your head up and continue the 'healthy' habits that you have already began. They warn you about coughing (hence the pillow) but beware the sneeze!
You will recover faster than you think. Prayers are with you.
