I just watched this movie with the wife. It is a little odd but very good. And Will Ferrell is surprisingly very good. I would have never guessed he could pull off being a serious actor.

So its not a comedy?

Its not the English Patient, but its a far cry from Talledega nights.

odd but good is an apt description. Will wasn't fully serious. It was like they didn't fully commit to either serious or funny.

Is it a blatant rip-off of "Stranger THAN Fiction"?
I hate when they do that!

I just got finished watching it, and thats a good movie. Its not what the previews made it out to be. I was expecting a comedy, but it wasn't a comedy at all. Kinda reminded me of Eternal Sunshine, just in the sense that its pretty unique filmaking as well as a touching/tragic movie with a comedic actor trying out the serious stuff.

I thought this was an awesome movie. Ferrell definitely surprised me.

And I did think it was a bit of a comedy. Dark comedy, but comedy nonetheless. Granted that it was more than just that too.
