not to long ago there was a post about working out.

You posted something about working one muscle group a day. I tried this because I like changing things up. This really seemed to work for me. I've since forgot which thread that was, but I tried this for a couple of weeks and I noticed that when I did this it worked really well.

I used to do chest and arms 3 times a week.
and legs, back and shoulders 2 times a week.
I do a lot of cardio

I'm kinda wondering how long is the right amount of recovery time and how long is too long.

feel like posting that again?

I usually go with a week of rest for each muscle group. I wouldn't rec doing the same group within 4 days. Back when I was younger/buffer, if I wanted to increase my arms, I would do them on Tues and Fri or Sat.-

Mon. Chest/Back
Tue. Legs/Maybe abs
Wed. Shoulders
Thurs. Arms - Biceps and triceps
Fri. Abs (cuz it's quicker and I wanted to go get hammah'd)


edit:
Oh yeah, I usually do about 45 secs in between sets and I rep out with a light weight every once in a while on something that I'm looking for more definition in.

a lot of the stuff I do, is stuff I've done with the Corps, which means I do a lot of stuff which helps my performance. I'm getting to that stage where I want to look and feel better. I can't run with the young dogs forever.

Yes, 20 minutes. Thats more than enough for me thank you. Maybe I'll even go 22 minutes after I eat this one last cookie. :P

It doesn't advocate my style of working out, but it has pretty much any exercise that you'd want to do.
