Team is sitting in 5th place

We finished in fifth place. This sucks.

Both Haze and Stornolio are champs.

Flaggert and Terry got third.

Rowe and Farmer probably have the best chances of being wild cards. Maybe Hinton, but he gave a medical forfeit in the consolaion finals. I think it was the flu. Apparently several wrestlers, including Flaggert, had the flu.

Fifth out of five teams. Dead dog last place.

Spates is continuously losing my vote more and more as coach for OU.

When it's time to change, you got to rearrange.

Turn what you are into what you're gonna be.

Hazewinkle wins OW.

Scratch Farmer and add Weitzel as a wild card. We're taking six to the NCAAs.

Haze
Terry
Storny
Rowe
Weitzel

And Hinton injured his leg, which is why he forfeited in the consolation finals.

Just to keep you updated.

just watched the coverage. haze was dominant from start to finish in the finals. the coverage by fox screwed us out of watching storniolo. they just showed some very quick hilites. askren sr. was only semi-dominant in his final. askren jr. his little bro. won a close one. it was funny to see aggy get beat in the finals at hvwt. and lose the team championship. flaggert got beat in the semis. hopefully that will motivate him at the ncaa's. if we lose all 3 of those guys, we really don't have alot coming back. maybe it is time for spates to go. i hate to say that, but............

I hate to say it but...we are at the lowest level I can remember since Abel's last days.

Terry looks promising, but that's it. Not much else except some guys who were really good in high school.

Today, Friday and Saturday.

All six OU wrestlers won first round. Weitzel beat #7 seed. Storniolo survives OT thriller against unranked opponent.

OSU advanced 5 out of eight. Mason shocks #3 seed Luke from Michigan. Hendricks gets a fall in 1:12.

Will update later as I get them.

Weitzel is the only other Sooner who has a chance to AA. All the others are out. Storniolo just hasn't looked good all tournament. Not sure what's wrong with him. He and Terry won a few matches but were ousted along with Flaggert and Rowe.

He must beat the kid from Columbia tonight to AA. Otherwise Sammy's our lone AA.

I wish this could signal the end of Spates, but I know it won't.

Sammy just made the finals with a 10-0 pasting of Ness from Minnesota.

Now he faces Donohoe from Nebraska in the finals, who just beat Troy Nickerson of Cornell in the other semi's. Nickerson was in the finals last year as a freshman.

Sam beat Donohoe in the Big Twelve's. He seriously should get consideration for Outstanding Wrestler.

Still not sure about Weitzel. He wrestles later tonight for AA status.

Is this as bad as we've done in a while? I don't remember it this bad.

Go Sam
