actually, it was. I think the dude was severely over-generous to people when he estimated the "feasability" and earliest possible date.

I was joking, although the Mayans did have extremely advanced astrological leanings and methods of time-keeping for their time, some even better than our own today. It's kind of interesting to research all of the 2012 apocalyptic theories and prophesies, even though most of them are far-fetched. My favorite one is that on the Winter Solstice (Dec. 21), 2012, the Earth is going to pass below the galactic equator, causing the Earth's magnetic field to reverse and the poles to shift. Pretty amusing stuff. Of course if anything really does happen...well, good game everyone. You did your best.
