I don't understand how you can lose Durant when they are on the offensive end.

11/13 on 3-pointers as a team... damn

54-42 Texas at the half

If Durant played 3 years in the Big 12 he would hands down be considered the best in league history.

We'll see if TU can handle the 2nd half wave at the Phog now...

Durant rolls his ankle and heads to the locker room.

Shame. That dude is amazing. Hope he comes back so they game stays a good one.

Durant may already be the best player in league history.

Nope. Tough KU team and tough place to play.

Augustin is also big time IMO. He'd be getting more press this year if it weren't for der Wunderkind.

Wow, way to quote the play by play guy today. ;)

Yep, they'll both be gone next year.

Didn't hear that today. Had my kid in my ear while watching the game. But I have to agree with him.

Augustin? Maybe, but I don't think so. PGs don't tend to leave after their freshman year. Durant is LONG gone. We had a better shot of VY coming back for his senior year than this guy sticking around.

At least Kevin didn't pull a Dwyane Wade on the way off the floor.

And I hope the ankle turns out OK.

Thanks. Turns out he turned it Friday in practice and just reaggravated it. Couldn't really tell in that first half. He's no crybaby Wade though. ;)

I knew it was a bad sign that we were only up 12 at halftime after not being able to miss a damn thing in the first half. We got smoked at the beginning of the 2nd half.

i certainly think texass has the makings of a syracuse-type run in the ncaa's. carmelo carried that team and durant looks to be capable of something similar.

march madness is on the way.

Thanks but that Syracuse team had a bunch of upper classmen to go along with Carmelo. Durant doesn't have that luxury. Very often we still play like a bunch of freshmen. We could easily make a run but I wouldn't be surprised to see us lose before the Sweet 16 either.

That said, I don't think any team would be happy to see us in the tourney.

In any case, a bunch of classy posts by you Sooners.

Very much agreed. A definite dark horse to the normal love fests that'll be going on, but it won't be surprising to see Texas ruining some team's seasons.

IIRC both Gerry MacNamara and Hakeem Warrick were freshmen and starters on that 'Cuse team.

I very likely am wrong though.

2003 syracuse squad.

they were actually pretty young.

OK, MacNamara was a freshman and Warrick was a sophomore.

Billy Edelin was a pretty good freshman too.

No problem. Just like all those posts by you whorns when Peterson was setting freshman records. ;)

Seriously, due needs to go pro and take Aug. with him.
