Watched it last night. Problem was, I had a Friday evening buzz on. Not wasted, just 4-5 beers. I'm still not sure who the bad guys were -- except for Nicholson. That guy is the awesome.

I think I'll watch it again completely sober.

I watched it last night also. The last 30-40 minutes was full of twists. 4-5 beers gets you a buzz that is a problem within itself.

2 1/2 hours long that movie is.

Yeah, the whole time I was watching it, I was thinking there had to be some reason they called it the "Departed."

I've heard that this story also may include links to the Wheeler Murder here in Tulsa.

i doubt that....but it's possible. the Departed is a loose remake of a Hong Kong film: "Infernal Affairs".

It is, but the actual Boston crime boss they based Jacko's character on was implicated in the Wheeler case.

No best Matt Damon movie ever was Rounders..

If you can't spot the sucker in your first half hour at the table, then you are the sucker.

It hurts, doesn't it?
You can't believe what fell.
All your dreams... dashed.
Hopes down the ****ing drain.
Your fate, he is sitting right beside you.
That ace could not have helped you.

You're right, Teddy. The ace didn't help me.
I flopped a nut straight.
Mother****er! [Speaking Russian]
- Mother****er! That is it! - [Grama] That's it?
What the **** you talking about?
- Take him down, Teddy. - Nyet! Nyet! No more!
No! Not tonight!
This son of bitch, all night he check, check, check.
He trapped me!
Well, you feeling satisfied now, Teddy?
'Cause I can go on busting you up all night.
Nyet! Nyet!

No crap. Departed owns a lot of movies. It really is a quality film.

Now Babel on the other hand.... holy crap. I put up with that piece of crap last night. If that had somehow beat out Departed for the Oscar, I'd be starting a jihad on Hollywood right now.

Two different movies.. If you like Poker and Gambling in general Rounders is $$$$$... If you don't it is an average movie..

People that gamble can learn a lot from that movie... I liked Departed also by the way..
