My advice: make sure you get a cool roommate for the dorms. My first one sucked (literally) and moved out 3 weeks into the semester. My 2nd semester I had one of my fraternity brothers move in with me. I had a lot more fun then.

I don't think I am going to be staying in the dorms. If I move down there I will staying with a friend.

So you know - it's a university policy that freshmen HAVE to spend their freshman year in University housing unless they're living with their parents or guardian. So you may want to do some checking on that before making plans.

congrats! it was some of my funnest years, and im sure you can expect no less. btw, i was just curious. me and some friends were talking the other day about this...what are the requirements, ACT-wise, to get in nowadays? i heard they raised em to like a 28 or 29 or something. is that right? cuz i remember it being like 24 or so a few years ago.

I am pretty sure that it's still at 24. I could be wrong though. 28 and 29 seems really high if you ask me.

I did not apply for any scholarships. I started talking to Mrs. Upchurch one day and she guided me through everything. I will be getting some money for my father being a Vietna Vet. I am going to apply for some grants and schollies for next spring and beyond.

I noticed his letter didn't mention University College so I assumed he was a transfer student and not a true freshman.
