It was shown live on the channel 21 newscast. Great Googily Moogily! I've never known anyone who actually won something like this.

In other news, the IRS will soon present your boss with a $100Kish tax bill :D

Yeah, there is that. But I'm pretty sure the taxes can be dealt with some way. They can always sell it and pocket the difference. Sweet, sweet deal.

That is what happens many times but even then it is a profit of 350k or so. Not bad.

By far, it was a super-worthy cause.

Now if he wants to be super-cool, sell the house, pay the taxes, and give the rest back to the charity. If you've ever been around cancer-stricken children, you know what I mean.

Thanks for the warning. I won't bother to play now.

I was supposed to win that house. Only 5,000 tickets were purchased, so the odds were pretty good.
I hate your boss. And it will be closer to 200,000 he has to pay.

I'd borrow the amount of the taxes against the new house like a second mortgage and at least get a deduction on the interest and keep the new house.

Nope, sell it. It is at 121 and Hebron. Traffic is a nightmare.
Pay the taxes, sell your existing house and build your dream house.

Actually, it isn't the dude that's my boss. It's his wife. I can't believe she showed up for work today.
