I am fully aware of the silliness of Green Acres. However, there are moments that are GOLD.

The cow eating Eb's radio... man, that is as funny as an old funny thing.

I really think the show was ahead of its time.

One of my favorite moments was when Oliver was taking flying lessons. Mr. Haney showed up trying to peddle some scarves, leather fighter jackets and other assorted flying paraphernalia.

On the ground, as they were watching the plane, Mrs. Douglas sez:

"Mr. Haney, do you fly airplanes?"

Haney: "Well, I'm only licensed for dirigibles."

It was in a class by itself, fer sure.

Mr. Haney
Hank Kimball

Just thinking about those 2 characters makes me laugh. I occasionally drive by a street called "Green Acres"; I laugh a little just seeing the sign.

Zsa Zsa's ta tas.

Actually it was Eva's ta tas.

Howzit

No. It was Zsa Zsa.

Eva was om Green Acres. Zsa Zsa was in my not really dream.

Plus, Eva's ta tas isn't as fun to write. Zenless, if you will.

I always thought that for a town the size of Hooterville, Sam Drucker's store had a lot of inventory.

On her headstone, they totally should have spelled it "Dahling" instead of "Darling". What were they thinking?

Mr. Haney's voice was so funny. And I liked Arnold the Pig too.

I had a high school teacher that talked like Hank Kimbell. He would also throw in phrases like "quote -unquote" in his lectures and frequently back track in a Kimbel-eske way.

Top notch early 70's TV.

Fred Ziffel is my favorite charachter. Dude is money as the deadpan.

Oddly enough, the Mr. Haney sequences are my least enjoyed of the show.

I guess it is a matter of "dry" versus "obvious."

No one's mentioned Eb.

I think his flannel jacket is in The Smithsonian.
