So, I've been spitting up blood for 3 days....

not a lot of blood, but it's a noticeable amount in my mucus. When I'm able to hock something up it looks like it's about 2/3 mucus, 1/3 blood. I've had a sore throat, no fever, for about 5 days and the last couple I've been popping cough drops like nobody's business.

I would usually go to the doctor, but since I have no other symptoms and really don't feel sick otherwise, I have been putting it off.

I think I'll make this a poll.

If I may be disgusting for a moment - think bloody corn flakes - that's what has been coming out of my nose since early January. Although the last two or three weeks have been much better.

I try to pop echinacea pills when I feel these attacks coming on and it usually wards off many of the effects of a sinus or cold infection.

Sometimes these things have to run their course - if everything else is OK.

Shake it off. Doctors don't seem to do a whole lot in these situations. Unless you go see OUDoc.

It's probably from your sinuses. That's pretty common this time of year. However, hacking up blood is generally a bad thing. If it's not going away, ask your doctor about it.
