SETTING THE STAGE: Oklahoma plays Delaware in the first round of the ACHA D1 National Championship Tournament…This game is the second of eight games on today’s schedule at Nationals…Oklahoma is ranked 5th in the latest ACHA D1 Coaches poll…Delaware is ranked 12th in the same poll…Today’s game will be the first meeting between the two teams.

OKLAHOMA NOTES: Sooners forward Adrian Borchgrevink leads the Sooners in goals with 28 and total points with 48…OU forwards Doug Gebbie and Justin Hall are tied for second on the team in goals with 18 each…Owen Brewer (13-27-40), Gebbie (18-16-34), Hall (18-13-31) and Keith Denton (10-19-29) follow Borchgrevink in terms of points…Oklahoma goaltender Aaron Schmeilski has a record of 16-3-0 with a 2.02 GAA and a .924 save percentage…The Oklahoma power play this season has scored 82 goals in 324 chances for a 25.3% success rate…Sooners forward/defenseman Kenny Deines is ineligible to play in today’s contest due to a game disqualification penalty incurred in last Saturday’s game vs. St. Cloud State...When OU scores four or more goals in a game, they have an all-time record of 79-4-0…The Sooners are 4-1-0 all-time when playing games at a neutral site.

DELAWARE NOTES: The Blue Hens last played two weeks ago at No. 11 Oakland University and ended up splitting the series with Oakland, losing the first game 9-5 but winning the second by a score of 7-5...The Blue Hens are led in scoring by Alex Belknap who has 11 goals and 24 assists for a total of 35 points…Belknap is followed by Mike Gardner (17-16-33), Justin Sexton (14-18-32), Aaron Chockla (11-21-32) and Kevin Neeld (17-12-29)…Goaltender Jimmy Depfer is Delaware’s No. 1 man between the pipes, accumulating a goals against average of 3.65 in over 24 games this season.

NEXT UP FOR THE SOONERS: The Sooners stay in Youngstown, Ohio and will play again on Thursday at the ACHA D1 Nationals…If the Sooners win today, they will play the winner of the Rhode Island/West Virginia game at 10:00 A.M. EST (9:00 A.M. CST) on Thursday…If the Sooners lose to Delaware, they will play again sometime on Thursday against an opponent to be determined later tonight depending on today’s game results.
