Hold on a minute....

I am a HUGE fan of both Joe C. hiring a young coach and of Capel himself. I like JC VERY much and I too, have high hopes.

But I'll wait to call this a "great" season until it's over.

Let's say we lose the next two (very likely).

That means we'll be 15-13, with a 6-10 conference record. We most likely be the 9 or 10 seed in the tourney. I have a hard time calling that a "great" season no matter the circumstances. I'd call that "what I expected" and move on to year two when Capel will hopefully have more to work with.

If somehow Oklahoma does beat #3 Kansas tonight that would be a huge step forward for Capelball. Not only that, a win over KU would guarantee a spot in the NIT, well it should. I know KU basically is blowing everyone out but it would be the biggest hoops moment under Capel thus far.
