Uh, Heath Shuler got a 16 on the Wonderlic, and he's now a US Congressman from North Carolina.

Yeah, but he's a Democrat which makes more sense.

11/12 = 45.76 for this guy.

That test has to be one of the more bizarre things I have seen. Or rather, absurd.

Even if basic math and verbals skills meant anything at football, what exactly does a 12 question, 2.66 minute test evaluate? With a test that abrupt it hardly seems that it could be taken as a true representation of someone's intelligence.

They might as well ask players what kind of animal they would be.

it probably designed to test your thinking skills and how well, quick they are. Basically it's testing your mental reaction time and not your physical reaction time.

It's 50 questions in 12 minutes.

How does the wonderlic compare with an IQ test?

I just hope AD gets at least a 7.

it's more about mental quickness than intelligence. anyone who is a fast test taker would generally score higher than someone who takes a little more time to read the test.

Proof---- Vince Young

The agents prep these guys now. If they are complete morons they should get a 25. AD seems like a good kid, but a rocket scientist he ain't. I'm hoping he can pull out a 25 so we don't look like texass. But, I'm much more concerned with whether or not OUr team will be ready to play early in the year next year.

I still say it's too early to tell about him. He hasn't shown me much throwing the ball, other than to the TEs. He's sorta like Michael Vick only taller, not as quick but just as fast, and without the deep ball. Not exactly who I'd want to build a franchise around. But he did get Steve McNair's vote so that must count for something.

And I'm not a VY hater, I just think he's one of those amazing college QBs that might not do much in the NFL.

We'll see.

What I saw from VY in 2006, is that he is an NFL caliber athlete. I'm not so sold on the QB position quite yet, but nobody wants to waste his unique escapablility talent and natural athleticism on puttin him at like, corner or something. Nothing against corners, but VY seems like if QB doesn't work out, they'd be foolish not to try him at WR or maybe even at RB like Atlanta did a few times with Vick last year.

Rogue - thanks, that exactly what I was thinking VY. He was truly great in his college career (at least after the OU game his soph. thru jr. year), but he has a lot to prove in the NFL. Only time will tell......

Merrill Hoge.. I didn't know you posted on here!

Worst QBs win NFL Rookie of the Years ALL the time!

Look at the stats he had the lowest rating in the NFL. Threw more INTs then TDs.

TexasLidig8r
2/28/2007, 02:36 PM
Look at the Titans won loss record after he began to start.

Look at his progress in each game.

Look at a rookie QB, doing what no other rookie QB has ever done (as in rush for over 500 yards).

Look at the manner in which he rejuvenated the team.

Look at what his FELLOW pros were saying about him at the pro bowl.

Look at how many NFL teams would trade their first team QBs straight up for Vince right now...

Take off your "I Hate Everything Even Remotely Related to UT" glasses and at least try to be somewhat intelligent.

I'll still be happy with Jamarcus Russell with the #1 pick in the draft over Vincent Young.

At least Brandon Jones caught a few TD's b/c of him!
