Not sure how many more times they will take at the combine but he looked pretty effortless during the run, so maybe he'll break a faster time on the next try.

I'm kind of surprised he's participating. Can't this only hurt him? How much higher can he go?

Well, all of his times he put up at OU were verified at the combine.

because he's not a pu**y like brady quinn. AD's not afraid of the competition. quinn seems to be scared that his draft status will take a hit... and he's right. he might find out that he's not as good as he (and everyone else) thinks he is. AD is the real deal... and he's just confirming that fact.

any guy, that is healthy, and not participating in the combine should be ashamed of themselves. just my opinion.

From Peter King of CNNSI.com

4. Cleveland GM Phil Savage is going to have a very tough decision to make. When Adrian Peterson ran a 4.37 40, it set up this pleasant quandary for the Browns, assuming Russell and Thomas go 1-2. The Browns could have their choice of four primo players at positions of major need -- quarterback Brady Quinn, defensive end Gaines Adams, wideout Johnson and running back Peterson. Savage met Peterson on Saturday and was impressed by what a solid rock he is. He might be Eric Dickerson.

I agree 100%. I was thinking about this yesterday. I think if someone competes in one part of the combine, they should be required to compete in all parts of the competition. The only grounds in which someone should be allowed to pick and choose what they do is in the case of an injury. For instance, I may be wrong on this, but I assume AD didn't bench press because of his collar bone. And if a guy has a calf injury he obviously couldn't participate in drills that pertain mainly to lower body strength. And so on and so forth. Other than that, I say if you're there....compete in everything, don't be a dork and try to pick and choose what you want to do because at that point I think you're just taking up space. I know Brady and others weren't doing everything because they want to save it up for their "Pro Days". But even AD said he planned to run again at OUr Pro Day, so I just don't get it. I think Brady and others have shown their weak side...the fear of being shown up by some of the NCAA's best athletes.

I am sure that the NFL puts a lot of stock in guys they won't have to motivate or monitor. AD is in that category.
