and were all gonna DIE!

In other news I got the pool guys to fix our light and take the busted pool heater off our roof for free, while they were fixing our busted filter.

I'd respond but I'm in the cellar right now. Skeered. 6 hours until certain death.

It's 6:12 and Gary has just issued his first "Torando Warning" of the season.

West Texas near Shamrock.

I love the spring in Oklahoma!!!

Damn, I thought the tornadoes weren't supposed to be dancin' in my trailer park until after midnight. I guess I better call in a few more friends to finish that case of Natty Lite I bought.

Meh, it's only February. I'm more curious about how a pool heater would get on your roof.

Our house has a solar heater on the garage with a pipe that goes to the pool. It's a POS and doesn't work so I talked the guys into taking it down so it doesn't ruin the roof of our garage and disassembling the pipes underground. It saved us two hundred bucks.

i'm not even sure it rained here last night

I was watching John Stossel's very interesting 20/20 piece about how Americans worry way too much about unneccesary things.

Then the hairdos at Channel 5 broke in for a 30-minute long fearfest about strong wind near Woodward (not in Woodward, mind you. Near it.). Complete with red alert graphics and ominous talk about a "lowering." Meanwhile, both the Chanel 5 stormchaser and the Woodward County sherriff made statements that nothing was going on there. This temporarily halted talk of disaster in Woodward, and began talk of an ambiguous tornado/severe thunderstorm watch or warning that covered an area extending from Lubbock to OKC to Dallas to the Oklahoma/Kansas border.

Irony can be pretty ironic sometimes.

Look, if the tornado's coming, fine. But if it might hail in Northwest Alaska, I really don't need to know about it.

We were watching that too.

Rick Mitchell: "There are reports that there may be a tornado on the ground near (insert whatever small town here). Stormchaser guy, what do you see?"

Stormchaser guy: "There is no tornado anywhere around here."

Rick Mitchell: "Okay, so no official tornado on the ground as of right now. If you live in (smalltown), please take tornado percautions now - if you have a tornado shelter, go ahead and take cover in your shelter. We'll keep monitoring this area."

So everybody is alive? Thank God for that.

I was worried for y'all.
;)

Now if I can make it through the "blizzard warning" we are having tonight, I think I can quit worrying altogether.
