A colleague sent me an email full of clever allusions to what I presume to be the big hit flicks of 2006. I was clueless, and the jokes flew past my head like a warm warning shot from Dean. The last movie I saw in the theatre was the new 007 deal, Casino Royale; before that - I can't even remember. They could rerun the 1998 Oscar show this Sunday night and wouldn't know. (I won't watch it anyway.)

Of course, if you start an Oscar or movie thread I will still try to post something inane in it. :)

The last movie my husband went to see was Driving Miss Daisy. As we were leaving the theatre, he said that was the biggest waste of time he had ever experienced and told me and his mother that he doubts he will ever go to the movie again, and thus far, he hasn't.

Both Pirates of the Caribbean account for the last two movies we saw in the theater.

I just wait for everything to end up on cable. The last movie that I remember seeing in a theater was Star Wars III.

I've seen each of the Harry Potter movies, and the last Pirates movie. I probably average one movie every 3-4 years. Every time I go I damn near get sick eating 2-3 big buckets of that greasy-assed popcorn.

I don't touch movie popcorn.

Last one I saw in the theater was The Hitcher. Last one before that I have no idea. We rarely go to the movies and wouldn't have gone to see that movie if we hadn't gotten one of those movie place gift card things...

I've seen folks take food from the Coney Island near the Southroads AMC 20 in Tulsa, right past the ticket takers and into the theatre.

I'm just not sure the Theatres care about enforcing their policies anymore.

I'd like to take a cooler of beer sometime.

Watching a flick on the big screen without buttered popcorn is like having sex without a woman.

Paying for movie popcorn is like paying a hooker.

I've done both, of course, and woman >>>>> popcorn.

One good thing about the mega-theatres in the Big Sleazy, you can get a frozen daiquiri or 2. :) They cut the grease on the mega-bucket of popcorn.

Rocky Balboa was the last one we saw at the theater. Though we are in talks to go see Ghost Rider this weekend. I have a feeling that we will probably end up watching Amazing Grace though.

You probably should tell him that he shouldn't judge all movies by Driving Miss Daisy. ;)

The Rutger Hauer one? The one from the mid 80's? Sheesh. You might want to try again at some point.

I probably wouldn't have gone back either if The Hitcher was the last movie I had seen.

Say what you want, Driving Miss Daisy was a good damn movie. Yeah, there's no explosions, but still... Morgan Freeman.

Why do you hate Public Enemy. That movie sucked, btw.

The 80's Hitcher was a nice unexpected surprise. Rutger Hauer at his best.
