I am putting together the graphics for a tradeshow booth. Here are the Photoshop instructions:


Build the file full size @ 100ppi
Rasterize all type
Flatten the file unless you have a specific element you want color matched. If that is the case, leave that specific element on a layer by itself.
Save as a cmyk .tif fileSo if I buy a 300 dpi stock image that is 8.5" x 6.4" @ 300 DPI is the resolution going to be high enough to look good at 59" X59" or should I buy the image that is 13.3" x 10.0" @ 300 DPI?

Just doing the math, if you blow the smaller image up you're going to end up with about 32 dpi (assuming that you enlarge the shorter edge up to full size). For the larger you'd end up with about 50 dpi.

Are people going to be able to get very close to the image? If so I would think that you would want to use software to interpolate some more pixels into the larger image.
