Sugar.

I'm not religious, but my Sister and BIL are so I do it with them to test my mettle. Two years ago was red meat, last year was alcohol.

This year it's sweets. No desserts, no chocolate, nothing of the sort.

I'm following the catholic tradition I was raised with and claiming to give up smoking, but continuing to smoke when nobody is looking.

I saw four women with forehead smudges yesterday. I thought some weird cult was in town until I remembered it was Lent. :D

I gave up work yesterday and meant to do it today until I remembered my job pays the bills.

And then I remembered I'm not Catholic.
