Anyone that waits 6 months to cash a check doesn't need/want the money.

When my Uncle Herman died (his real name) he had a wad of uncashed checks in his top dresser drawer. Some of them years old. Just saying.

I have a check a buddy of mine wrote me in October of 2001. The day I was going to cash it he told me it would bounce if I did, so I kept it. I forgot about it, and then it became something of a joke. He wound up paying me back by buying my lunch every time I've hung out with him since then.
