Does anyone else watch this show Juvies on MTV?

It's pretty fascinating actually. What I don't understand though is why the prosecutor on this reality show isn't more forceful in dealing with these kids. Typically, if she says anything at all at their court hearing she just lobs a couple of softballs their way. I don't understand why she isn't more forceful that they remain locked up.

Cause she's trying to save your tax dollars. Detaining people ain't free y'know.
