I have printed my thoughts several times. I even had the gall to ask Sherri when she was going to start Jenna. When Jenna played in the first half against Ohio State I knew we had a chance to win. But I guess she was not ready. She is the inside passer we have needed. Her ability to force turnovers and hit from halfcourt are bonuses.

There will be times that she will put the whole team on her back and carry them. Then again she is only human, she will have her off days as well..

The pride of the Frontier Mustangs. We could have used her in the men's game against A&M!

That would be yesterday. :)

She seems to be the answer we need in the backcourt, at least part of it.

I just read about her performance in the Daily. She can flat out light it up when she is on. She is a real treat to watch. She will be a lil general out there at times..

Here is an article I found on Native Daily News and an interview:

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) With 6-foot-4 Oklahoma center Courtney Paris receiving a lot of the hype, it was a player of far less stature that led the Sooners to a 70-67 win over the Lady Raiders Saturday at the United Spirit Arena.

In only her second career start Oklahoma’s 5-foot-4 point guard Jenna Plumley (Otoe/Pawnee/Pueblo) led the Sooners (20-4, 10-3 Big 12) with a career high 22 points.

“She’s a little fire cracker, you gotta love her,” Lady Raider coach Kristy Curry said of Plumley. “I thought she shot the ball extremely well today, but she’s a set shooter. We allowed her to get her feet set and didn’t do a good job on her. I hope my 3-year-old who looks like she’s going to be about that size can be like Jenna.”

Plumley, whose career high before Saturday was an 11 point effort against Texas, was 6 of 8 from 3-point range.

“She had some huge threes tonight,” Oklahoma coach Sherri Coale said of her freshman guard. “It takes a lot of guts to pull that trigger. They were at critical times and that changes momentum and does a lot of things besides just give you three points. It’s changes the environment you’re playing in.”

JENNA PLUMLEY NOTES
• Below are career bests that Plumley set against Texas Tech

* 22 points, previous high 12 vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff (12-10-06)
* 7 field goals made, previous high 4 vs. Texas (2-12-07)
* 9 field goals attempted, previous high 8 vs. Texas (2-12-07)
* 6 three pointers, previous high vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff (12-10-06)
* 7 three point attempts, previous high vs. Texas (2-12-07)
* 37 minutes played, previous high 33 vs. Texas (2-12-07)

• Plumley set six career highs in the last game, she set another six against Texas Tech.

• Plumley’s 22 points were a team high, marking just the second time this season a Sooner not named Courtney Paris led the squad in scoring

well if she's from Red Rock she has to have some Otoe blood.

I also doubt seriously she's 100%. Those are rare these days.

She is Otoe Missouria from both sides.. Her Mom is part pueblo as well.. Her Dad is part Comanche. So no she isn't 100% Otoe Missouria. I think there are only a handful of full bloods left.
She is a roll model for the whole Native American Nation, not just Oklahoma, but coast to coast.

without a doubt. I've had the conversation before with many of my black friends, the fact that they are so successful in college and pro sports. Native Americans although talented enough to do so, have struggled greatly to reach those levels.

I've been to a dance (pow wow) at Red Rock before.

I'm pulling for her big time.

My Mom stays in contact with Carol, Jenna's Mom. It's funny because the other day when Jenna started against Texas, she told my sister-in-law she was going to be starting who in turn called my Mom, who called me. She didn't tell her folks, she wanted them to come to LN and hear the announcer call her name..

I thought that was pretty cool..
