I have a good friend that was in the Mac cult for years, then he bailed out last year and went pc. Since one of the most die hard Mac users I've ever seen went back to pc, I figured it wasn't a bad idea to stick with it. I bought the new pc with Vista on it, and then a week later he goes back to Mac. Now I'm kicking myself. Looks like another 2-3 years in pc world, then I'm definitely joining the cult.

some things you need a PC for, but i have yet to hear an actual reason to upgrade to Vista yet

i still love my Apple Laptop though, and it's over 2 years old, and has the old G4 processor

and i'm not in the cult, i used to hassle cult members all the time when Macs still sucked ;)

Vista actually makes the Cheswick commercials funny. ALLOWED!

Never, ever upgrade until sp1. That rule applies to both PC and Apple.

I used to make fun of the mac cultists as well....but about 6 months ago I had already made up my mind that I will be switching to a mac with my next laptop.
I may not join the cultists in evangelizing the mac...but I have decided to stop pointing and laughing at them.

I'll offically switch to Mac when they let you home-brew your machine.

Just wait. There'll be a "security patch" that will be mandatory, and it will reduce performance by 50%.

So really, just like all the other patches.

Using a Mac is like hiring a chauffeur to drive your Ferrarri.

On the other hand, using a PC is like driving a Jag - it's awesome during those few times it's not in the shop.

Using Linux is like having an unassembled kit car without directions, and salespeople who laugh and make fun of you.
